One day after Donald Trump sided with Vladimir Putin regarding Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, the official president of Treason™ tried to backtrack, saying he had "full faith in our intelligence agencies."
Then all the lights in the room went out!

It's unclear what caused the momentary blackout, (Someone backing into the light switch? A brief power outage due the rain in D.C. today? A patriotic ghost?). But it was certainly some on-the-nose pathetic fallacy. One of those scenarios that, if you pitched it for a movie scene, you'd probably be asked to "tone it down a little."
