Aaarggh, my eyes!
Following the latest app update on iOS, my Facebook app keeps reverting to light mode, no matter how many times I set it to dark mode.
At first I thought it was a temporary glitch. Then I thought I was going mad. But then I realized other people are experiencing it, too.

The Facebook app on my iPhone has been updated to version 379.0 as of Thursday. "We've updated the app to fix some crashes and make features load faster," Facebook said in the release notes. It appears you've also broken dark mode, Facebook. Fix it.
For those unfamiliar with what I'm rambling about, I'm talking about a feature you can find in Settings & Privacy - Settings - Preferences - Dark Mode. It can be set to "On," "Off," or "System," which checks whether dark mode is enabled on the iPhone or not, and adjusts the app's appearance accordingly.
I've been a big proponent of dark mode on all platforms and use it everywhere I can. It saves a little bit of battery on OLED displays, but it's also just easier on my eyes. Having Facebook, an app I use quite a bit, suddenly revert to the standard, light mode, is quite annoying. As this Twitter user put it, "Stop that."
