If the scraggly voice of Sesame Street's Cookie Monster is what brings you joy, you're in luck.
The hungry muppet with a sweet tooth is back to read turn-by-turn directions on the navigation app Waze. He took a short hiatus after first showing off his navigational skills this summer.
It's not just "om nom noms" and "me want cookies," but honest driving directions to get you where you're going. The friendly monster's voice (and mood) is available in the voice and sound settings within the app starting Monday in honor of Cookie Monster's birthday. (It was on Saturday — happy belated birthday, Cookie Monster!)
The voice option won't be available forever, but when Cookie Monster was featured on the app before it was one of the most popular celebrity voices. Previous Sesame Street voice options from Elmo, Oscar the Grouch, and Cookie Monster were short-lived on Waze. Fans were so sad to see their favorite characters go, but that's how the Waze cookie crumbles. There's nothing like commuting with Elmo, Oscar, and Cookie Monster.
SEE ALSO: Waze app can tell you how to get to Sesame StreetAt least Waze will keep listing Sesame Street as a real destination in New York City (even if it's technically a renamed stretch of West 63rd Street).

So the next time Waze directs you to turn left at a busy intersection, at least you'll have Cookie Monster's outrageous voice to help you laugh your way through four lanes of traffic.
