The trend was first spotted on Burberry's AW16 runway show in early 2016. But now this runway trend appears to have made its way into the Instagram realm, as there are now over 11,000 posts under the #glittertears hashtag.
Some people have added sequins to the equation to make their tears extra sparkly.
